The summer of discontent?

Ligarena, the organisers of the ESWC have released a statement clarifying their stance on the dates for this years tournament. As you may have guessed by now, the CPL Summer Championship dates clash directly with those of the ESWC. Here is the release:

Paris, December 10, 2004

We wish to confirm that the ESWC 2005 Grand Final will be held as planned from 5 to 10 July, 2005, just as in previous years and as announced to several partners and media organisations worldwide.

We were very disappointed to hear CPL’s announcement concerning the dates of its own forthcoming summer event: the most expensive e-sports event in the world for gamers.

This decision by Mr. Munoz sounds to us like an admission of weakness or at least as a deliberate attempt to divide players, teams, sponsors and the media.

We wish to express our deepest regret to all involved for this situation, which appears to be yet another attempt to hijack the communities for personal interests.

PKEURO Forums Re-opened

PKEURO are pleased to announce the re-opening of our forums. Weve spent some time and set the system up so that your pkeuro.com login for the main site will log you in automatically. No need for pesky second signups

Feel free to express and comments / questions / thoughts on Painkiller in general. All input is welcome. An area has been created to discuss Single Player issues along with day to day comings and goings in PK land. Booh Singleplayer has its own section along with a generic PK / BooH MP section.

For all you would-be modders out there. Weve broken down the elements of modding for PK/BooH into areas we think would be useful to focus attention on. We also have a section for the more arty people out there with some good starters in the Graffiti Wall from our own logo designer Rezah.

We will keep an eye on the forum and if more modifications appear, or we get requests for extra categories, well add them as and when. We hope you find the forum useful and we look forward to reading your posts. Click the forum link in the navbar above or HERE to enter.
